Aurora
Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th 1996 in Stavanger and is known professionally as Aurora occasionally stylized as AURORA is a Norwegian artist and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by Label Decca Records in May 2015 receiving great approval from musicians and music blogs as well as the press. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band to promote John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy, by Nat King Cole are among the best covers of the artist. Katy Perry's endorsement of her song Runaway in a blog entry added to the musician's recognition. Celebrate her special birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories are of discovering a piano hidden in the attic of her home, and being captivated by the sounds it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes urged Aurora Aksnes on to try the piano as a passion or profession. To achieve this she wrote her first original compositions. She credits renowned composers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as inspirations, and also an appreciation for the style of Bjork. Her mom encouraged her to sing her songs in public, not for the sake of trying to achieve fame, but rather to inspire others to realize just how important that they are, and the impact they can do for the world. As a young girl She began playing on the piano. When she turned nine, started writing songs. Family members didn't even know about her musical talents until she turned 14. It was never a dream to be Aurora. Aurora claims she loves writing songs. Music is her preferred method to express her feelings about anything.
